Twenty nine helpers braved Saturday's breezy, cool weather to plant spinach, leeks, onions, peas and lettuce. The little Leprechaun helpers had the luck of finding gold, which they exchanged for bead necklaces and chocolate coins. Battling the wind, they also made row markers so that we know where not to step. Work also included removing rocks, digging out clay, hauling composted leaves, digging up parsnips, and spreading compost. In spite of the less-than-ideal weather, everyone had a good time. Planting, moving compost and digging will continue. Our next event will be the Easter Hop on Saturday April 7th. We're open this Wednesday (5-dark) and Saturday (8ish to 10ish).
